VOLUNTEER
Skeetawk has many projects that need volunteers throughout the year! We announce upcoming volunteer events on Facebook and our website, but the best method is to join the email list to be notified of upcoming events and opportunities. Better yet, take the survey below and tell us where you would best fit with your interest and skills.
Ski Patrol – we partner with Pioneer Ski Patrol, a member of the National Ski Patrol association, you can find out more information here.
If you have medical credentials, but don’t feel comfortable with skiing/snowboarding responses, there are many opportunities for involvement in our aid room with patient care and dispatching services.
Food and Beverage Service – these essential volunteers help out with guest service tasks like daily pass sales and food & beverage service.
Summer Trail Clearing – these volunteers help our summer trail crew clear alders and brush off the ski runs.
Event – Skeetawk hosts many events such as fundraisers, concerts, etc. We are always in need of volunteers to work these events performing a variety of tasks like alcohol service, parking attendant, and really any other task unique to the event.
Board Member – Hatcher Alpine Xperience, which is the nonprofit that oversees the business of Skeetawk is managed by a volunteer board of directors. These board members serve 2 year terms and guide the development of the ski area. For more information on current board members click here.
All volunteers will be compensated with 1 day pass per 8 hours of volunteer work.
