BACKCOUNTRY GATE
Skeetawk’s Backcountry Area remains OPEN to the public for non-motorized use. The backcountry area is not patrolled; rescue is the responsibility of the user. Users should expect to encounter heavy machinery and trail crew operations at any point. Please respect the backcountry area and treat it as you would any other backcountry area.

General Info
- • Hikers may still access the trails and backcountry when the gate is closed; just do not park in the turnouts by the gates!
- • Public restrooms are available all week
- • Yurt services are only available Saturday & Sunday
- • Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leash and picked up after
- • No unauthorized drones
- • No overnight parking or camping
- • Government Peak can be accessed via Frostbite Ridge
